Bus Tour

I helped teach classes for the Bus Tour yesterday at Scrapbook Castle. Ashley had the BEST make-n-take for attendees. I hated that we only had 1/2 hour with each group to teach it, but I still think they had fun and enjoyed it. It was a page layout with a little book attached for photos. This is Ashley's sample:

Finally finished...

with Easter 2007. Yay me! I got to finish up the last of my Easter layouts this weekend while working at Scrapbook Castle for the Bus Tour. In between buses, we were able to do some cropping. Besides getting up mega-early, it was a fun day.

This first layout is from Ashley's "Page A Month" class at Scrapbook Castle.

My Little Funny Bunny

I had computer issues at work today but I think I got it all worked it....so this is all I got done today, but I'm happy I just get to scrap at work. Here's some old school All My Memories stuff I've been saving for the right "brown" bunny. I mean, think about it, most Easter bunnies are white. So I think I made a good choice waiting for the right bunny pics to come along. White bunny stuff to come tomorrow, I hope, if my computer at work cooperates--geesh.

Have I Mentioned How Much I Love Kits?

This is a kit I put together last Saturday while cropping with a friend. I bought this kit from Scrapbooker's Dream while visiting Kansas City for the CKU Convention back in 2005. Of course, I changed it around it little because I had way more pics than the layout called for. I love that about kits though. They are a great springboard for creativity.

When I bought this kit, I knew it would work out perfectly for something at my mom's house. These are some of her favorite colors. The crazy thing is that since I bought the kit, my mom and dad moved, but she still has the same color scheme in her new house so it worked out great. This was our first Easter (and first family gathering) at their new home last year.
P.S. The little boy in the pictures is my nephew, Jarrett. Isn't he cute?

Been a busy little bee today...

Here are three more layouts I created today. This one still needs a title, something about my daughter getting her ears pierced.

This Easter 2-page spread was a kit I bought at the Creating Keepsakes Convention from Scrapbook Factory. I liked the layout but I had too many pictures for it and mine was mostly about the basket so I tried to use the supplies that focused on the Easter basket, and I think it turned out pretty good.

Spring 2007

This is the cover page for my daughter's spring 2007 album. My layout was inspired by this layout from Creating Keepsakes Magazine April 2007 created by Wendy Sue Anderson.

Playing Catch Up with Easter...

Easter 2006 was two years ago this month...and I am finally getting all my Easter layouts finished. I just had SO many pictures from that year and so I promised myself I would work on them this year. The bad news is I was a year late on them...the good news is that they are finished and I am going to share them with you. :) This first layout is from a class I took from Basic Grey at CKC St. Louis (either 2005 or 2006, I don't know). The second layout is just a complementary page I made with the same line of papers.

Coloring Eggs

More Basic Grey products. I love these colors for Easter and dying eggs.

Easter Classes from Scrapbook Castle

These are pages that were offered as classes at Scrapbook Castle. I love that Ashley is obsessed with Stickles now too. I love the glitz and glitter that adorn these pages.

Easter Dress

This layout was created by my friend, Emily Cox. The only thing I really added was the word "dress" and the dress sticker. The dress actually had green dots but I covered that with turquoise stickles and it turned out great for the layout, I think. The little dress sticker is from K & Co.

Scraplifted from my friend, Ashley, of Scrapbook Castle

Hunting More Eggs

And a little bonus...

Super simple layout but I love how this paper really completes this page.

So Did YOU Feel It?

...the earthquake, I mean. For an Illinois girl, this is a big deal. I know you peeps out in CA are like, "Those big babies. That was nothing."

But we don't feel the house move unless a tornado is blowing it away, so imagine my surprise at 4:30 this morning when my bed starts to rock. Whoa! Crazy stuff.

The Church of Oprah...I think not!

The video says it all. You will be shocked and amazed. I personally am boycotting Oprah altogether.

Kudos to the Painted Page

The ladies at the Painted Page were so sweet to me at the Creating Keepsakes convention yesterday. Here is the page I made at their make-n-take. Their papers are beautiful and they are a sweet group of gals.

They also gave me a great start to my Easter 2007 pics.

March Pages

I'm going to try to be better about posting this month. These are all the layouts from March 2007 that I did for my daughter's album (I work a year behind). Enjoy!

Creating Keepsakes Convention

I had so much fun yesterday at the CK Convention in Collinsville. I have one word for you: KITS. I loved it! I was surrounded by kits. It's like a class in a bag. I bought SEVERAL. I also bought lots of ribbon in these cute little cups with umbrellas (but my daughter stole the umbrellas). I also bought some really cute eyelets. Here are some pics:
